Should I get dentures?
As people age or experience dental decay, they may need to consider tooth replacement options. The choice of treatment will depend on budget, lifestyle, and aesthetic goals. Dentures are a budget-friendly option for those missing most of their natural teeth. They are custom-made from a metal and acrylic framework to fit comfortably over the gums. Patients can choose between partial or full dentures based on the number of teeth they need to replace.

The Benefits of Dentures
Affordable
Many dental insurance plans will cover some, if not all, of the cost of treatment.
Removable
Feel free to remove your dentures whenever you need to eat, drink, or sleep comfortably.
Easy to Maintain
To clean your dentures, brush them as you would natural teeth and soak them overnight in a special solution.
The Denture Treatment Process
Impressions or Scans
Once your treatment has been approved, your dentist will work with you to develop a personalized treatment plan. Our team will then take scans or impressions of your mouth, which will be sent to the dental lab to begin creating your prosthetic. In the meantime, temporary dentures may be provided to protect your gums until your final dentures are ready.
Tooth Extraction (If Needed)
Extractions may be necessary in certain situations to accommodate your new dentures. Your dentist will start by numbing your mouth or using sedation to keep you comfortable during the procedure. Following the extraction, it is crucial to rest for at least 24 hours. Your dentist will give you specific instructions to help you stay comfortable and pain-free during the healing process.
Fitting and Adjustments
Once your dentures are finished, you will come back to the office for the fitting process. We can make adjustments to ensure your dentures are comfortable and functional. Remember to schedule yearly checkups for your dentures, as they can last up to 10 years with proper care.
