The Benefits of Emergency Dentistry

Experiencing pain is an indication that something is amiss, and you do not have to tolerate it.
Restore Your Bite
Correct any dental problems such as cracked, chipped, or missing teeth to restore your smile.
Prevent Further Complications
It is important to address emergencies, such as tooth infections, promptly to prevent more serious complications from arising.
What do I do in a Dental Emergency?
Keep Calm & Reduce Bleeding
Experiencing a dental injury can quickly turn a normal day into a painful and stressful situation. Remember to remain calm and know that your dentist is available to assist you. Take a moment to breathe deeply and evaluate the situation to help make informed decisions during an emergency. If your injury is causing any bleeding, apply pressure with a clean strip of gauze to the affected area. Keep the gauze in place until the bleeding stops or until you can get to our office for further assistance.
Control Swelling & Pain
You can temporarily relieve pain or swelling with over-the-counter pain medication such as ibuprofen or acetaminophen. Avoid blood-thinning medications like aspirin, as they can interfere with clotting and blood flow control. You can also use a cold compress, like an ice pack, on the cheek or lip near the affected area for pain relief.
