The Implant Treatment Process
Placement
After your treatment is approved, your doctor will arrange your oral surgery appointment and create a surgical plan. The procedure will involve making an incision in your gum tissue to place a dental implant into your jaw. Following this, the area will be cleaned and sutures will be placed to initiate the healing process.
Healing & Osseointegration
Once the implant is placed, your gums and jawbone will start the healing process. The incision site should be fully healed within 1-2 weeks, but it will take 3-6 months for the implant to completely bond with your jawbone through osseointegration. We will schedule multiple follow-up appointments during this period to monitor your healing progress.
Applying the Restoration
The last stage of the implant treatment procedure involves the restoration. A personalized prosthetic dental crown will be made to blend with your smile and firmly fixed onto the titanium implant. With your new tooth in position, your smile will be whole!
